Moschino

In classic moschino style this collection was suit heavy. Black was the main color but it was done with great gold embellishments. Pencil skirt suited were done with variety, a little Chanel-esque in moments. Nonetheless, elegant and trendy.

There was also a spanish flamenco theme interweaving through the collection. Portrayed by the ruffled which let loose and wild in this collection. The evening pieces were all with the ruffles in neon colors towards the end of the show. There were some extremely interesting pieces all however were reserved for a risk taking individual.

Ferragamo

Minimalism and Class. Characteristic of what you would expect from a Ferragamo collection. A Color palette of earthy tones with a sort of hippie, free feeling present in the styling. Clothes were extremely wearable. There were some really intriguing pieces such as the leather shorts, a first on the runways this season.
There were many floor length trenches, cable knit sweaters and some jumpsuits, which were a nice touch, unique to the ferragamo show as there weren't many jumpsuits on runways this season as well.
Leathers and trenches were beautifully portrayed with the earth tone color palette keeping garments wearable and classy, a true Ferragamo collection.

Trend for fall 2010

FUR!!!

There has been a fur take over at New York fashion week this year! This trend was been present on countless runways this fashion season. At, Marc Jacobs, Peter Som, Roberto Cavali, Zac Posen, Oscar De La Renta, and many more. The designers have spoken in unison on this one, fur will be all over come fall 2010.

When doing faux fur try sticking to natural colors. Also try to look for one that has different shades of the color as it creates shadows and looks more like the real thing.

Megan Fox

Ms. Fox graces the April 2010 issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Model of the moment

Swedish model Frida Gustavsson is making her mark! In the last month alone she has been on the cover of German Vogue, walking at the Marc Jacobs fall runway show, the new face of Jill Stuart's campaign, modeling Valentino couture in Italian vogue and much much more!

Gorgeous would be an understatement, get ready to see her face a lot to say the least.

Issa

Late I know, but I LOVE THIS COLLECTION! One word describes it: WEARABILITY! I could wear every item that came down that runway! The prints were delicate, the clothes were feminine, and were stylish without trying to hard. This designer is definitely one to watch.

Keri Hilson in Rami Kashou

Keri Hilson looking fabulous in a Rami Kashou gown at this years NAACP image awards! Palestinian designer Rami Kashou was a finalist on Project Runway season 4. He now has his own label with main offices in LA. I am IN LOVE with this gown! I think the idea of the rose was transformed into a dress in the most elegant and gorgeous way.

What do you think?

Personalize your Louis!

The new Monogram personalization service is now available online. So, if you want to personalize your speedy, luggage, or pregase bag.. you can! You will be able to choose from many different colors and patterns, you are able to add your initials and a preppy stripe of your choice. This unique touch will set you back about $940 to $4,000. Just when you though luxury couldn't go any further!

Cavali!

RAWR! Animal print galore! Floretine designer Roberto Cavali pulled out all the stops but geared towards a different aesthetic than usual. Print heavy is characteristic of Cavali's work but gone were the pulnging necklines and thigh grazing ensembles. Sexy was brought out in a different way in this collection.

I loved the play on animal prints, it was done very successfully. There are some gorgeous coats printed with extremely intricate beautiful patterns. Fur was very prominent on the runway and it's looking like it will be a staple trend for the next season.

Picture of the Week

By Peter Lindbergh

Loved this whole shoot! It was in the Harper's Bazaar March 2010 edition, inspired by 50s america a "wanted" theme!
