Marie Bishara

Okay, I must commend Marie Bishara for being the first Egyptian designer to show at Paris Fashion week. Marie has done wonders to incorporate Egyptian tradition into her clothes in a contemporary way. This sets her apart among the sea of talented designers showing, and she can definitely hold her own. The pattern on the sliver skirt is done all by hand in different parts of Egypt, placing it with a textured jacket was a great moment.

The scaled platelets of glitter and shine was a theme in the collection, I love the gown with the asymmetrical strap. Another great moment was the detailing on the yellow skirt. The colors through the collection were muted, black, silver, white, and an "off'-yellow.

The clothes were feminine, delicate and conservative. They were for a strong woman who wants a unique twist in her clothes. My hats off to Marie she is competing in a fast paced world, and making her mark.
