Nicole Richie at the Met Gala

Lovin' the dress not loving the look. I can't help think that the dress combined with the black hair and pale complexion is resembling Morticia Addams a little bit.. The silver dress is from Marc Jacobs fall collection, love the dress, but I think she could have styled it a little differently...

What do you think?

If life was a Disney movie

If everything ended in happy ever after, if the prince always saved the princess, if people sang all the time and if designers were disney characters. That sounds like a world I wouldn't mind living in! Posted above are the amazing sketches of fashion designers if they were Disney characters, in this months Elle Espana. They certainly got all of them spot on I think!!

Which one do you like the best?

Marc By Marc Jacobs

There were 3 distinct sections in this show. First down the runway was the khaki, military look. With this look came a neutral color palette accompanied by many coats and jackets. One look that was incorporated in this section was a shorts jumpsuit, which had exited the fashion scene two seasons ago so it was nice to see that reappear.

Next was the striped down plaid "girlie" section. This was dress heavy with a lot of strips and plaid in a red and gray color palette. Then it was onto the black. Still incorporating the military edgy vibe in the zipper front black dress.

Even though Marc explored military which is usually hard and edgy he was able to bring a sort of soft femininity to it. Although the collection can be split into three sections it was still a very cohesive line with each section borrowing moments and components from the other.

Marc Jacobs fashion week

I think that Marc Jacobs is quickly becoming one of the most influential designers on the scene. This collection was a real different approach than his previous 2010 Spring collection which was 80s inspired, party girl, edgier and more flirty. This collection on the other hand had a lady-like sweetness to it, it played tribute to the idea of chic that prevailed in the older more refined days.

The hemline was longer than his previous show, the floor length, volume filled gowns portrayed a whole different side to Marc Jacobs. Fur was ever present on this runway, as were body conscious silhouettes, and A-line skirts, all portraying this lady like femininity.

This show really showed off his range.
