YSL

The mood reflected in the clothes was insanely somber. It is very hard not to infer religious symbolism in the clothes as many of them seemed to be channeling inspiration from nun attire, expressed in the white high collars, and the black long capes. The curious gold chained figures are said to be based on fashion photographs of the late Yves Saint Laurent clothes made in the seventies, they were said to be "A homage".

In this collection it is clear that Pilati is attempting to step out of the shadow of the master and trying to make a statement of his own. He is trying to redefine the way the 21st century woman dresses, however YSL had it right, he dressed the working woman in Parisian influenced garments and thus he gained his following.
