I think that Marc Jacobs is quickly becoming one of the most influential designers on the scene. This collection was a real different approach than his previous 2010 Spring collection which was 80s inspired, party girl, edgier and more flirty. This collection on the other hand had a lady-like sweetness to it, it played tribute to the idea of chic that prevailed in the older more refined days.The hemline was longer than his previous show, the floor length, volume filled gowns portrayed a whole different side to Marc Jacobs. Fur was ever present on this runway, as were body conscious silhouettes, and A-line skirts, all portraying this lady like femininity.
This show really showed off his range.
