Marchesa fashion week

The collection drew it's inspiration from Lola Montez, the adventuress, dancer and courtesan. This woman loved the dramatics, used her feminine charm to get her way, and ended up as a circus preformer after being mistress to King Ludwig of Bravaria. If the inspiration for this collection is any indication you cqn guess that it was a romantic, sexy, daring and over the top line.

The style was flamenco for some of the dresses whereas for others, there was this quailty of an intricately painted body suit which translated into a beautiful unique garmet. Another staple of the line was perfectly crafted and detailed handwork which has become characteristic of Marchesa's gowns. This new pleating technique introduced is a sure hit. I loved the romantisim and flare of the red soft oragmi inspired dress.

Get ready to see a lot of these stunning dresses on the red carpet!
